I;m free mondays,thurs and fridays 11-12..so i'll be sweet on tagging along..been wanting to go earlier but alone is kinda boring..esp as you can;t put on music in the long room..and although i went with headphones first time..uhm..well..heaphones :P

so just give a shout if ure going thurs/fri (prob rather friday actually) and i might show up to chalk some math's on the walls >D

ok, finally getting stuff sorted and going to fergs tomorrow night! and yes, will bring a rope or two...

also anyone keen on bouldering in the long room during the week? Im free between 11 and 2 every day of the week so need something to do or i will go crazy!!

...and we dont want that.

sounds good,the more the merrier,and the better chances of us being able to organize something weekly.

Imo, as wednesdays is the club night at fergs, leadclimbing would be a nice addition, as it sometimes get's abit boring with the same routes at fergs (hope they revamp it soon enough :D)

If my sudden sickness doesn't prevent me from attending tomorrows meeting,I;ll try and make sure my mate goes along..but I'll do my best :)

sounds like a good idea.

been members since last feb,but due to courses we only could make it to the first meeting,this year is fine though.I'll tell my mate and we should hopefully be around on next tuesday meeting :D

hey again,

good to hear theres more people into climbing joining the club :) The club does have ropes around that are suitable for leading, they're not usually lent out however and are used mainly on trips. There is definatley the possibility of bringing one down to fergs on Wednesday night (thats our usual climbing night too) for you guys to use though. The best thing to do would be to come along to a meeting or arrange to meet up with someone at fergs just so the gear people etc know who you are, then you could sort out borrowing one weekly or something :)

hey all, first post and all,thought this might be the most suitable place to ask for this.

Well,the thing is, a mate and me want to do some leadclimbing the comming months,around fergs and outdoors if weather pleases.

But our problem right now is 1. We have no rope yet (were planning to get one ,latest at start of summer)

2. My gear arrives first end august from back home (so we can't really go outside before that,but thats sweet)

3. We don't have any1 handy who could lend us a rope for the time being.

So,we were wondering if the TC has any ropes for use indoors or if anyone had one they arent using atm?

We usually go climbing at fergs wednesdays (club nights) so, if you have a rope but dont want to do lead but go wednesdays we could perhaps arrange something ?

Or even better if you like leading,want to do some,but lack someone to go with perhaps?
