Ok 22 people have signed up, so far we have two *possible* vehicles and myself confirmed to be able to take myself + 7, if anyone could find another car to bring along that would be awesome.

Hi All,

This coming weekend we have a tubing trip planned for the lower tubing lower tauherinikau river (near featherston in the wairarapa).

The details of exactly when we go are reasonably fleixble we could either do friday night/saturday saturday/sunday or there is also the option of doing it as a day trip depending on what suits people best.

You will need to sort out your own wetsuit, dive shops rent them out and some food.

Youll also need decent shoes that you dont mind getting wet.

Knowing how to swim is ideal but in lieu of that thrashing around in the water and bouncing off the bottom generally works too.

If it ends up being an overnight trip you'll need a dry bag (a new mountain safety council packliner works too) a light (preferably nylon) sleeping bag, and a minimal amount of other gear/clothes etc...

The club has some tubes in the gearshed but these may or may not be swiss cheese so if you don't want to risk giving the tube mouth to mouth for the whole trip perhaps a visit to beaurepairs would be in order.

A life jacket may also come in handy if you have one.
