&lt;P&gt;It's looking like there will be a trip to Taranaki this weekend. The weather looks great at the moment, so some of us are keen to head up to the summit and camp there, and perhaps do a bit of climbing (of the ice variety, if indeed there is any ice left). Note that crampon and ice-axe skills will most likely be required for this option.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Also Sarah was thinking of doing a lower level tramp, the Pouakai circuit which would not require any snow skills and should be relatively easy to moderate tramping. Note this may well replace the scheduled Taranaki trip on 10-12 December, which could be used for something else like Carkeek or the Ruahines...&lt;/P&gt;
