The day trip is on Sunday. Meet at Hunter car park at 9am if keen and bring a car if you have one.

Ok the plan for this is to head into the Rimutaka FP for a day loop walk down to the Orongorongo valley and back out. It will be whichever of Saturday or Sunday is best weatherwise. At this stage this is likely to be Sunday but I’ll make a call on Friday. An easier option could be East Harbour FP.

You will need to bring:

- Raincoat

- Warm clothing and a change of clothes

- Lunch and snacks

- A torch (we always take one of these even if we don't expect to be back late)

- Water bottle

- $5 for the driver unless we take your car

Can everyone who can bring a car let me know. We only have mine at this stage although one may be enough depending on signups.

The plan would be to meet at Hunter at 9ish and then its about 30- 40 mins drive and we should be back in town by evening. Any further questions email me.

Hey Guys,

As some of you know, a small group of us are doing a "pest control" weekend.

Since this is not everyone's cup of tea and the trip is pretty much full, there will also be a day trip running this weekend.

Alyn Higgins will be running this.
