It is not too late to sign up so if you are keen let me know.

The Devilish Day trip will be going to the Haurangis this weekend. It has gone through a bit of an evolution cycle but but it is going to be over night (with some small amount of walking) Saturday night with the Day walk on Sunday.

Saturday night should be a good old social affair and there will be a couple of levels of day trip going away on Sunday morning

The plan

We are meeting Saturday 1:30pm at the Hunter car park IF YOU WANT TO COME LET ME KNOW SO WE HAVE A SEAT IN A CAR FOR YOU.

Go to the supermarket and get some dinner.

Drive to the road end

Walk for a couple of hours to our destination

If the weather is nice we will be camping. If it is not so good we will be looking at heading to a Hut

Enjoy the festivities of Saturday night

Sunday morning get up and go for a day walk.

Cost

The cost for this trip will be $15 per person. This will be payable to the club and will cover the cost of petrol, transport club fuel and club gear maintenance. Make sure you bring this money along on Saturday and I will collect it giving you a receipt. Please make sure you also have some money for dinner too for when we go shopping.

Right – The plan is starting to settle down and it actually looking quite good even if don’t have a location yet.

But this is what is going to happen.

Head away Saturday afternoon
Pick up some food along the way
Head to a road end
Take a short walk of a couple of hour to hut or camp somewhere.
Have some beverages and food.
Get up sometime on Sunday and proceed on our Sunday day trip

Anyone who has signed up – All good I will email you shortly but as for anyone else let me know if you are keen and I will put you on the list.

Should all be good fun

I'm planning to stay at the hut at otaki forks for the weekend if you are all heading that way :)

This weekend I am running the devilish day trip and at this stage I am not quite sure how to put the devil in it but I am sure that we will.

Anyway we have a few sign ups on the sheet and if you did not make it tonight it is not too late. So if you are keen get in touch with me.

The plan at this stage is democratic

Plan A

Go away Saturday night come back Sunday afternoon (due to the party on Friday night)

Plan B

Go away for a day of the weekend not set at this stage probaly go with the best weather or most votes

The plan is to either head to the Rimutakas or Southern Tararuas.
