When I looked at the forecast a day or two ago Saturday was looking kinda alright... Now I'm wondering if a run down to the local fast food outlet for lunch might be a better idea....

Thanks for the heads up :)

Re: Kaitoke Day Trip this weekend

watch out the for the sidestreams! Although the heavy rain is all tonight, so while they might drop getting across the river to Cone from the bottom of Bull Mound could be more tricky.

Kaitoke Day Trip this weekend

Righto chaps and chapesses this is late notice but a few of us are keen to do a mission tomorrow.

The plan is to head to Kaitoke and do a loop walk, tramp, or run. The choice of how far you want to go is entirely up to you as there are three different options available. They are approximately 10km (gentle half day), 20km (solid day) and 30km (mission) in length. The best part is you can choose along the way which circuit you would like to do. i.e. get to the 10km turn off and decide that things are going well and you want to do the 20km circuit instead.

Let me know by 7am tomorrow if you are keen. Those attempting the longer circuits will be leaving Hunter at 7:30am.
