Hey Guys

When we packed up at camp I picked up someones bowl that looks exactly like mine, hence why I picked it up.

It's white metal with a blue rim.

I won't be coming to the tramping club meet tonight but I'll be there next week so I can bring it then.

Oh yeah, and petrol should be about $10 each for my car at least (its about 300km return according to google maps) so please bring this along too :)

Right so for our food group, we are doing vege Nachos! I think I will just get the food, so could you guys just bring 5 bucks each to pay for it? That's Scott, Miri, Guy and Hazel. This will get you a delicious gourmet extravaganza involving guacamole, sour cream and spicy chilli beans! Plus marshmallows for the campfire after...

Right, so from the mouth of Natalie:

The food groups for this weekend are - Kieran, Miri, Scott W, Guy, Hazel for a vege type meal and then Natalie, Jeremy, Jason, Adam, Peter as the carnivorous bunch! We are not planning to stop on the way so bring enough stuff for lunch, breakfast, drinks etc. You will also need to bring a contribution for Saturday night dinner (see later post).

Craig S is coming later on so organise with him if you want to come after 9am - otherwise meet at Hunter carpark at 9am to get a ride with Jason and Kieran. We will bring shelter and cooking equipment, but bring other stuff like you would for a tramp (sleeping bag, mat, raincoat, cutlery, etc).

Natalie is awesome!

Can we get some input from everyone else on when the intend to leave. Just checking since we may only need to take one car in the morning if enough people would prefer to leave later on.

9am with Jason and Kieran, or
Mid afternoon with Craig.

Oh cool, well we might as well drive along the coast a bit, at least for those that have 4wd/are keen enough! I'd be keen to take a look up Stonewall Stream and the rocky ridges around there for a daytrip, so maybe camping on the beach down that way would work... I'm sure we won't be hard to find anyway Craig!

At this stage I am intending on leaving sometime after lunch on Saturday probably mid afternoon. I have an off road vehicle so we should be able to get pretty close to the campsite too, meaning not too far to carry our drinks.

There is a spot not too far away on foot maybe an hour or so where i almost always see pigs and yes I recon we will be staying on the coast but the bush is right there and is plenty in there for the taking. Jeremy..................:)

I've never seen the gate at the lighthouse locked in the last 10 years. It's Maori land there as I understand it and they are happy with people driving through to the Doc land where the gate is locked. But maybe that has changed since we were there last?

Yep I'll probably leave at a similar time - can meet people at Hunter Carpark or pick people up if you're somewhere on the way :)

I'd probably be keener to muck round Saturday afternoon, drink Saturday night and go do a decent day walk on Sunday but am not at all fussed really and could be persuaded either way...

Maybe we should take bolt cutters for the locked gate, apparently its a legal road past the lighthouse!
