Federated Mountain Clubs executive member Quentin Duthie will present
videos and photos from his recent rafting trip down the Mokihinui river
in the Buller district, and the campaign of Forest and Bird, FMC and
the Greens to save the river from Meridian's dam. There is also a plan
for a MTB/tramp track between the Moki and the Buller - find out more.
Can we generate renewable energy and reduce climate change emissions
without sacrificing wild rivers like the Mokihinui?

Quentin is a member of VUWTC and NZ Alpine Club, a prodigious
hut-bagger, Mountain Safety instructor, and passionate tramper. He is
also a conservationist involved with Forest and Bird and ECO, and works for the Green Party in parliament.
