THE PLAN!!

Hello all, Races this Saturday!

For those who haven't seen it here is the LINK to the information about cup day

As taking cars could be overrated, painful and severely limit alcohol consumption and the train seems to be a good option. Does everyone concur with the following?

The main even starts at 12 and the train takes 40min
We all meet at the at the Wellington train station at 10:45 to catch the 11:00am train (the Hut people can jump on the train in the Hutt)
It is $25 including the train or $20 just for gate entry
It is not BYO so the best option would be the camel back of beer or water that turns out not to be water. From what I hear drinks are reasonably cheep there anyway
Tim says Hats and/or dress up is essential otherwise you will have to wear your birthday suit
Catch the train back when all the fun is over for for a whole heap more fun at the after party!

For drinks in the gardens tonight. We are meeting behind the rose gardens on the grassy patch of lawn. If the weather turns to crud I will post a change later I will be there from around 5:00ish

In addition to a good old celebration and just a damm good excuse to have a drink or 10, I am having a party next weekend Coupled with some Wellington Cup stuff during the day!

Next Saturday 26^th January

During the day

The Wellington Cup is on at the Trentham Race course. Apparently a whole bunch or horses running around and people with big hats winning load or cash. But should be good times! They have some deals to do with the train and race entry so that cars can be avoided along with traffic and sober drivers. We will confirm some meeting times and plans later in the week

During the Evening ***A PARTY***

Now that I get to the real point. On Saturday night the plan is to have one of those birthday party things at my place that can double as an after party for the racy cup people

Saturday 26^th January
My place in Ngaio
Bring many many drinks
We will have a BBQ there so bring your favorite BBQ food
If you find that you cant or simply don’t want to leave there is plenty of space to stay
It will be good times!! I promise!!

Garden drinking and eating before the meeting!

To celebrate the fact that it is the 22^nd of January and it is a monumental day in history (something to do with me turning a year older). Would anyone be keen to Join me in to botanical gardens (somewhere yet to be decided) for some alcoholic beverage consumption and food before the meeting at the Welsh Dragon bar! Perhaps say from 4:30 or something
