    Karori Sanctuary

    Hello,

There is a Karori Wildlife Sanctuary trip running this weekend if anyone is keen. Looks like people are prefering Sunday at the moment, but that is up for debate :)

The karori sanctuary is a very special place. It is a 225hectare chunck of regenerating native bush just in the Wellington suburbs, surounded by a predator proof fence. The sanctuary has a 500yr vision to restore this peice of mainland New Zealand to as close as possible to a pre-human state.

Presently the sanctuary is home to many rare and endangered species you would not normaly see in the  NZ bush including: Tuatara, little spotted kiwi, saddle back, hihi, giant weta, kaka and heaps of other birds and reptiles.

It is open 10-5 every day and is $12.

Please reply to this or contact me if you are keen.

    Terra :)
