    More Kawakawa Bay 21st - 24th jan

Hello All,  On the weekend of the 22nd to the 24th the calendar contains a trip to Ngarahoe.  As the weather is going to be too hot and nice we are going to do a climbing trip to Kawakawa bay where there is a lake and some great climbing.  I am planning on making it a long long weekend by departing on the evening of the 20th (take Friday off) and return on the afternoon / evening of the 24th.  There will also be some plans for a Friday departure for those that cant take Friday off.

It is also someone’s birthday so there shall be a bit of a good old fashioned nosh up by the lake on Saturday night.

For people who haven’t climbed, you are very welcome to come along and give it a go.  All and all send me a message if you are keen and I will be along to next Tuesdays meeting if you want to talk with me in person or give me a call

Re: More Kawakawa Bay 21st - 24th jan

Hello guys, I have been planning to do Kawakawa bay this weekend and it has been quite difficult to decide if the trip should go or not based on the crazy weather.  I am going to call off Kawakawa bay this weekend and aim to do it next weekend as it is just too far to drive to get rained on. (if anyone is keen for next weekend let me know)

Alternatively, I am still keen to get away for the weekend and have a bit of a birthday bash on the Saturday night.  So the new plan has developed. We are heading out to Cape Palliser tonight and are intending on coming back Sunday morning / mid afternoon. At this stage we plan to go out to Ngapotiki hut and base ourselves there but if the weather happens to be great we will be around in the usual place at stone wall basin (you will pass us on the way in so you cant miss us).  On Saturday night we will have a bon fire, drinks and fun.

    • Where: Cape Palliser Ngapotiki hut
    • When: Head out tonight after 7pm but feel free to come out anytime
    • Why: Birthday Shenanigans

It would be great if you can come out and join us and if you are keen on a lift tonight please let me know as we have plenty of cars and seats.  Also if you want to come tomorrow I can co-ordinate people with cars and people who need a lift

So Kawakawa bay was a good weekend with hot weather.  It was a great chance to take a swim.  If anyone wants to see Scotty Too Hotty cooling off on a hot day by jumping off out of the blue we have footage http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AOOPVEMgGBQ
