•  Gear custodians, President & Chief guide are the only key holders who may check gear out of the gear shed.  Any other key holder or member must get permission from a gear custodian

• Gear will not be lent for non club trips

Exceptions:  Gear may be lent for private trips for club members who have lead at least 1 club trip and Club alumni who have made significant contribution to the club over the years.  This is considered on a case by case basis by the gear custodians.

·        All gear that is checked out must be recorded

·        Gear that is used must be returned promptly and as soon as possible.  If it is lent for a weekend trip it must come back on the Tuesday

·        Gear must be returned dry and clean

·        Gear damaged or lost through negligence will be replaced at the cost of the borrower.

·        All longer term loans must be granted by a gear custodian and will only be for special circumstances.  Where longer term loans have been granted this will only be for a maximum period of 3 months.  The same type of gear may not be re-loaned on a long term for minimum of a month
